One of the world’s most acclaimed and reputed luxury car maker, Mercedes Benz launched the face lifted  version of their majestic SUV, 2012 Mercedes ML 350 CDI today. The event was hosted at the luxurious Grand Hyatt in New Delhi, graced by all the top people in the country. Mercedes Cars in India have always been known as a status symbol for many rich and affluent people in the society. The company is expanding their portfolio of SUVs with this launch and is expecting it to generate good business for them. To start with, the 2012 Mercedes M Class price is Rs. 56.90 lakh for the CKD model and Rs. 66 lakh for the CBU model (both prices mentioned are ex-showroom Delhi). The SUV was first showcased in the 2012 Automobile Expo, which had taken place earlier this year in India. This New Mercedes M Class is better than the prevailing version of the SUV in quite a few aspects. At the outset, the size of this new version has been increased and now offers enhanced comfort and space to the occupants. There have been some prominent changes in the design of the nose of this New Mercedes M Class. The front fascia of this new version is looking bolder and aggressive with a huge radiator grille that also houses the company’s insignia and a lot of chrome has been used as well, which is clearly visible in the 2012 Mercedes M Class pictures.

Renault India has introduced the petrol variant of their delightful hatchback Renault Pulse in the Indian market. This is a soft launch and the Renault Pulse Petrol Price is starting at Rs. 4.25 lakhs for its entry level variant called as RXE. The company is offering a total of 3 trims in of this petrol variant along with the RXE trim; the other two trims are RXL and the top end RXZ. The Renault Pulse price for the top of the line RXZ trim is Rs.5.55 lakhs (both prices mentioned are ex-showroom New Delhi). This new Renault Pulse Petrol has been blessed with an aggressive styling and has masculine looks to impress the youngest generation and it can be seen in the Renault Pulse pictures.

Not much time later after the announcement Renault India has slipped in the Renault Pulse Petrol in India. Last year, after rolling out the diesel variant of Pulse hatchback, Renault India had revealed its plans of introducing the petrol car variant. This newfangled model is powered with a 1.2 liter 3-cylider petrol engine that is capable of producing a peak power of 76 PS at 600RPM and a peak torque of 104 Nm at 4000 RPM. This three-cylinder in-line petrol, DOHC 12-valve engine is mated to 5-speed manual transmission car. The engine has been adopted by Nissan Micra and this is in perfect accordance with the fact that Pulse hatchback car is basically a rebranded and reskinned version of Micra; these cars are also sharing production facilities.

India’s home grown Tata Motor Group is one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the country. They have one of the most formidable fleet of cars in their stable, which are doing very well for the company. Tata Cars are known for their low maintenance and highly efficient engines, which provide impressive fuel efficiency as well. The company’s global sales in March this year touched 1,39,655 units, which is close to 26% more than the corresponding month last year. There was also a rise of 16% on their cumulative sales done for the financial year of 2011-12, which are around 1,252,173 units. On the other hand, the company is going to launch a brand new SUV, Tata Safari Storme very soon and this vehicle will take on all the other SUVs in its segment. Tata Safari Strome price is expected to be in the range of Rs. 10 lakh, while the final price will be announced at the launch.

Maruti Ertiga is certainly making news left right and centre with 11,000 units booked in just 5 days of launch, what else can one expect. Ertiga has become an epitome among the value-for-money cars in India and a proof of what a decently priced car can do in India.
