Audi, the German auto maker has launched its new luxurious sports car in India. This new sports car is Audi R8 which now available in Indian car market at the price of Rs. 1,17,00,000(ex-showroom Delhi). Audi R8 has a powerful 4163cc, V8 mid-mounted engine with a 4 valve FSI technology with a 6 speed manual gearbox or R-tronic automatic gear transmission which generates 420 bhp power at 7800rpm and 430 Nm torque at 6000rpm. The six speed manual gearbox of this car fulfills the requirment which is needed for a true sports car while the optional R-tronic automatic gearbox is also available.The powerful engine of this car generates great acceleration to break the barrier of 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and make it able to achieve the top speed of 301 Km/h.

Audi offers the combination of comfort, power, speed and thrill in this car which provides excellent driving enjoyment. The huge jerks that are often found in the rough roads are easily absorbed by the great suspension of the Audi R8. If we consider the safety features of Audi R8, this car is equipped with the six air bags, and the central airbag control unit of this car is mounted on the tunnel under the centre console and contains sensors for triggering the airbag. The airbags of this car are triggered when the system measures a rate of acceleration or deceleration higher than the rate programmed in the control unit. If the acceleration or deceleration does not exceed the system’s programmed rate, the system will not deploy. With the launch of this new car, Audi introduced quattro permanent all wheel drive engine had made the car the topper in various racing events throughout the world.
