Hyundai India planned to launch a new SUV(Sports Utility Vehicle) in India in November 2008. With this new car, the Santa Fe, Hyundai is planning to exploit the SUV segment car market in India, which is presently booming by its previous launched cars like Santro, Accent, Elantra, Sonata etc. The expected price of Santa Fe is Rs. 2,300,000 to Rs. 2,600,000. Hyundai makes an amazing combination of boldness and refinement to give this car a sporty and stylish look. The new Santa Fe is an elegantly functional car, with a stylish and impressive interior and exterior design. Its new front grille design, sporty roof rails, black sporty side steps and 16.5'' spoke alloy massive wheels give it a sporty looks.

The Santa Fe can glides from an on-road surface to off-road more easily, so the driver feels a smooth ride. Santa Fe does not have a rough transition, and the huge jerks that are often found in rough roads are easily absorbed by the great suspension of the Santa Fe. Santa Fe makes feel the driver a smooth drive with a minimal engine noise.

Its high price tag is not looking a competitive price for Indian market. There are other SUV's present in the Indian car market with better interior and exterior and with low cost tag. If we compare it with Honda's CR-V, Honda has more snob value than Hyundai and at 15-16 lakhs.

Hyundai will offer Santa Fe in India With with a delicious 2.2-litre, 148bhp diesel engine which might be tuned to suit Indian fuel quality. At standard conditions Santa Fe can go 100 km. with 12 litre fuel.
