Maruti has launched a premium hatchback car, Maruti A-Star which is aimed to target the B segment car buyers with its performance and stylish look. Maruti has launched A-Star with its new generation KB Series, 998cc, MPI petrol engine which generates the maximum power of 67 Bhp @ 6200rpm and 90 Nm torque at 3500rpm. The powerful engine of A-Star provides great acceleration to this car helps it to cross the mark of 60 Kmph in just 6 seconds and make it able to break the barrier of 150kmph.

From driver's point of view the new Maruti A-Star is a very comfortable car, the instrument panel is quite big and all meters are easy to read. It also gets dash mounted tachometer which is first of its kind in this segment. The only drawback of the Maruti A-Star is that the height of dashboard is little bit high and may obstruct view of short drivers. Maruti A-Star is an elegantly functional car which includes a stylish instrument panel consists of illuminating needles on tacho, speedo and fuel indicator. Maruti has included some active safety features like Anti-lock Braking System and dual airbags in this car.
