Maruti Ritz Mileage

India's largest car manufacturer Maruti, is gearing up the launch process of its most awaited small car, Maruti Ritz by the mid of May 2009, in a B+ Segment, that would be positioned between its recently launched premium small car Maruti A-star and its super hatchback car Maruti Swift. Maruti Ritz has cleared whole vehicle test that was conducted by ICAT (International Center of Automotive Technology) at Manesar in Haryana and got approval for India launch. Maruti claims that Maruti Ritz mileage in city conditions is 17.8 kmpl and on highway road conditions it is able to touch the mark of 22kmpl which makes it most fuel efficient car in its segment.

The engine of Maruti Ritz is already been launched in India, it will be equipped with the new generation 4-cylinder, 1197cc, K12M petrol engine which is BS-IV compliant engine. Its new 1197cc power plant is able to produce the maximum power of 85bhp and 113Nm maximum torque and increases the Maruti Ritz mileage by offering 17.8Kmpl in city conditions. It is expected that Maruti Ritz price will be lie in the range of Rs 4 to 6 lacs though the exact price has not been announced by the company yet.

The Maruti Ritz mileage which is much higher than other cars of this segment should generate immense interest to the people for this car. Other than the high mileage Maruti Ritz is equipped with advanced active safety features like ABS (Anti lock Braking System), Airbags, EBS (Electronic Brake Assist), ASP etc. It is possible that some of these features may trimmed for India, to keep costs into consideration. With the launch of Maruti Ritz, Maruti will have another winner in their hands after Maruti SX4, Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti Swift.
