India's largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki today announced the Maruti Ritz launch date. The company official said that they are going to launch Maruti Ritz on 15th May. However, Maruti Ritz engine has already been launched in India last month. It will be equipped with new second generation K-series engine.
The company official said in a statement that Maruti Ritz will be available with both petrol and diesel engine option and it will be the first small car in India that will BS-IV compliant and will full fill all Bharat Stage - IV emission norms.
Maruti Ritz will be launched in premium A+ segment in Indian market, and will be positioned between the Maruti Swift and Maruti Wagon R. Maruti Ritz is the eighth model by Maruti within 48 months following the launch of Maruti Swift, Maruti Zen Estilo, Maruti SX4, Maruti Swift Dzire, Diesel variant of Maruti Swift, Maruti Grand Vitara and the latest Maruti A-Star.
The company official said that Maruti Ritz will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options: a brand new second generation K-series of 1.2L, four-cylinder, K12M petrol engine that is able to produce 85PS of max power and a 1.3L, 16-valvediesel engine that is able to produce 75PS of maximum power.
