Honda Jazz launched in India

Today on 10th June, leading Japanese auto manufacturer Honda launched its first small car model, Honda Jazz in India in premium C+ hatchback segment. Honda is now ready to storm the luxurious small cars market in India with Honda Jazz launch. The new spanking car Honda Jazz is build on its most popular sedan model Honda City platform. Honda uses Honda City platform to build this car to reduce its overall manufacturing cost as using the new platform increases the manufacturing cost. Honda Jazz had been awarded as the "Car of the Year" in Japan in year 2001 and 2002 and now it is ready to storm the Indian auto market. Honda Jazz is a premium hatchback car and is takes place below Honda City. Honda Jazz is now available with three variants Honda Jazz, Honda Jazz Mode and Honda Jazz Active, with six exciting colors. Honda Jazz price is set in the range of Rs 6.98 to 7.33 lacs for all its three variant.

Speaking on the launching ceremony of Honda Jazz, Masahiro Takedagawa, President and CEO, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, said, “Honda Jazz is a C segment small car that is loaded with all the values that are associated with Honda. Honda launched Honda Jazz to target a unique group of people who want the latest and most stylish models with the advanced technology, safety and practicality in their car.”

Honda Jazz is available with a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission that, the Honda claims, has been specially manufactured for the Indian market. The 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine features programmed fuel injection that produces maximum power of 90 PS @ 6,200 rpm and maximum torque of 110 Nm @ 4800 rpm while offering the fuel economy of 16.1 km/l, as per ARAI test data. The new i-VTEC engine is also E10 compatible and fulfill all Euro IV emission norms.

The chassis of Honda Jazz offers superior drive comfort and agile handling. Honda Jazz features a McPherson strut suspension in front and h-shaped torsion beam at rear suspension achieves the maximum possible space for the rear seats and cargo area as well as easier ride comfort and agile handling.
