India's second largest auto exporter and second largest two manufacturer Hyundai Motors ready to launch its premium SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) model Hyundai Santa Fe in Indian market. Hyundai Santa Fe is one of the best SUV model from Hyundai's product portfolio and Hyundai Motors plans to launch this vehicle to compete with Honda CR-V in Indian market. Earlier Hyundai Motors planned to launch this vehicle in the first quarter of 2009 but now company plans to launch this vehicle in Indian market in the month of September this year. Hyundai Motors refused to say about the exact pricing of Hyundai Santa Fe but company officials indicates that it will be priced in the range of Rs 22 to 24 lacs.

Hyundai Santa Fe will be equipped with a 2188cc, 2.2L, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, CRTD, SOHC engine with 5 speed manual gear box that will produce 154bhp power at 4000rpm and 343Nm torque at 1800-2500rpm. The powerful engine of Hyundai Santa Fe offers great acceleration that makes it able to cross the mark of 100kmph in just 11.6 seconds and make it able to achieve the top speed of 178kmph. The automatic transmission option might also be available with Hyundai Santa Fe.
