After the grand success of Toyota Innova, auto major Toyota ready to launch its most awaited SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle), Toyota Fortuner in Indian market on 24th of August. Toyota Fortuner is the most awaited SUV model in Indian auto market as it is already available at International market and it got huge popularity there because of its high engine performance with its sporty, stylish looks. Toyota officials said that they are going to launch Toyota Fortuner on 24th of August in Indian auto market. The company officials added that it will be the safest SUV in its segment as Toyota Fortuner features - Dual Front SRS Airbags, ABS (Antilock Brake System) with EBD, Toyota’s most popular GOA (Global Outstanding Assessment) body that offers higher level of safety and other lots of passive safety features like, seat belt with pre-tensioner, seat belt warning, etc. .

Toyota confirms that the petrol variant of Toyota Fortuner features a 2.7L, 2694cc VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing Intelligent) with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection System) that produces 160PS of maximum power and offers high engine performance with great acceleration. While the diesel variant of Toyota Fortuner features a 3.0L, 2982cc, Direct Injection Common Rail diesel engine that is able to produce 163PS power at 3800rpm and 343Nm torque at 1400~3200rpm.

Toyota Fortuner features the elegant styling in its interior and exterior design and it is packed with lots of luxurious features. Toyota Fortuner offers extremely spacious passenger room with excellent front visibility, comfortable seats with easy access to instrument panel. In Indian market Toyota Fortuner will be launched around with five variants and it’s all five variants will be priced in the range of Rs 20 to 22 lacs. Toyota plans to launch this model in premium SUV segment which is currently dominated by Honda CRV and Chevrolet Captiva. Hyundai also plans to launch its premium SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe by October in same segment and in the same price range. So the competition might be tough for Toyota Fortuner.
