World's largest auto manufacturer General Motors ready to launch its premium sedan model Chevrolet Cruze in Indian market in October. According to the company official they might launch Chevrolet Cruze on 12th of this October in Indian market. The company plans to launch Chevrolet Cruze with both petrol and diesel engine options. The exact prices of Chevrolet Cruze is not yet disclosed but company official said that its all variants will be priced in the range of Rs 14 to 16 lacs. It is an stylish sedan model that offers bold and aggressive exterior looks with stylish and much comfortable interiors. The exact number of variants is not yet available but it is expected that General Motors may launch Chevrolet Cruze with seven variants with both petrol and diesel options and also automatic transmission variant..jpg)
Chevrolet Cruze is the first sedan model that General Motors manufactured at its revamped Delta2 platfom. The petrol variants of Chevrolet Cruze which will be equipped with the 1.6L, 1598cc, DOHC petrol engine with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) fuel injection system offers mileage around 12kmpl in city roads while on highway it gives mileage 16.5kmpl. On the other hand, its variants which will be equipped with the petrol same engine but will be packed with 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox will offers mileage around 10kmpl in city roads while on highway it will give mileage 15kmpl. Chevrolet Cruze will also be available with diesel variants. Its diesel variants which will be powered by the 2.0L, 1991cc, SOHC diesel engine with Direct Fuel Injection system and will be packed with 5-Speed manual transmission gearbox, will offer mileage around 14kmpl in urban roads and 20kmpl on highway.
Chevrolet Cruze is a five seater luxurious sedan model which will be packed with lots of new generation features that works as a stress buster and offers world class comfort during journey. It will also be packed with lots of advanced active and passive safety features that makes it the safest car in its segment. It will be packed with dual front airbags, ABS (Antilock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), Disc Brakes, Traction Control, Seat Belts with pretensioner, Seat Belt warning, Door Open Warning and many more other features.
The company plans to launch Chevrolet Cruze with highly competitive price tag in for this segment to compete with the other cars of its segment like Skoda Superb, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Skoda Octavia, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic and Toyota Altis.
Some other auto manufacturers also planning to launch there new models in festive season so it is expected that there will be number of new cars launched in Indian market. Tata Motors planning to launch its MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) model Tata Indicruz and mid-segment sedan Tata Indigo Vista in October. Some other cars that might be launched in Indian market in next few months are BMW Z4, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen Beetle and diesel version of Honda City, Maruti Grand Vitara and Maruti SX4.
