Worlds largest auto manufacturer General Motors going to launch its most awaited sedan model Chevrolet Cruze in Indian market in the second week of October this year. The senior company official said that they might launch this most awaited sedan model on 12th of this October. Chevrolet Cruze is a five door premium D segment sedan model that will be launched with both petrol and diesel variants. Its all variants will be priced in the range of Rs 14 to 16 lacs. General Motors plans to makes it position strong in its segment with the launch of Chevrolet Cruze and company decided to launch this car with highly competitive price tag. Chevrolet Cruze will be packed with advanced luxuries and active safety features which are generally available in luxury car. Its cutting edge technology, stylish and sporty look and lot of interior luxury features and cometitive price tag in its segment will surely give it a good start.

It is expected that Chevrolet Cruze will be launched with seven variants in both petrol and diesel trims and also with automatic transmission option. The petrol variants of Chevrolet Cruze will be powered by the 1.6L, 1598cc, DOHC petrol engine with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) fuel injection system that offers good engine performance with good fuel efficiency. This engine makes this car able to cross the 100kmph mark in just 11.4 seconds and to touch the top speed mark of 184kmph. This 1.6L 1598cc petrol engine of Chevrolet Cruze offers mileage around 12kmpl in city while on highway it gives mileage 16.5kmpl. On the other hand, diesel variants of Chevrolet Cruze will be powered by the 2.0L, 1991cc, SOHC diesel engine with Direct Fuel Injection system and it will be equipped with 5-Speed manual transmission gearbox. This diesel engine delivers more power, acceleration and fuel efficiency, in comparison to the petrol variants. This 2.0L, 1991cc diesel engine makes Chevrolet Cruze able to cross the 100kmph mark in just 8.7 seconds and to achieve the top speed mark of 188kmph. This engine offers mileage around 14kmpl mileage in city while on highway it gives mileage 19kmpl.

Chevrolet Cruze is a luxurious D segment sedan model which will be launched with number of advanced features both for luxuries and safety. Its newer generation luxurious features work as stress buster, its comfortable seats, powerful climate control AC, easily reachable panels at instrument cluster and lot of other features offer awesome driving experience with this car. Chevrolet Cruze will also be packed with lots of advanced safety features that includes Dual Front Airbags, ABS (Antilock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), Stability Control, Large Disc Brakes, Traction Control, Seat Belts with pretensioner, Seat Belt warning, Door Open Warning and many more other features.

With the launch of Chevrolet Cruze company plans to compete other sedans of this segment like Skoda Superb, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Skoda Octavia, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic and Toyota Altis.
