India's largest auto manufacturer Tata Motors are ready to launch its most awaited mid segment sedan model Tata Manza in Indian auto market. Tata Motors announced that they are going to launch Tata Manza in Indian auto market on 14th of this October and the booking of this sedan will also be started from the same day. Tata Motors are working on very aggressively to launch Tata Manza on its scheduled launch date as company plans to tap the growth of sales in Indian auto industry due to festive season. Earlier, Tata Motors were planned to launch Tata Indigo Vista but now they are going to launch it with the name Tata Manza. Tata Manza is build on Tata Indica Vista platform and after the launch it will be available with both petrol and diesel engine option. The company plans to launch Tata Manza with highly competitive price range to compete with other major players of this segment like Maruti Swift Dzire, Mahindra Logan, Ford Ikon, Ford Fiesta, Maruti SX4 and Hyundai Verna. The company official indicates that Tata Manza price will fall in the range of Rs 5.5lacs to Rs 7.5lacs.

The senior company official said that Tata Manza will be launched in Indian market in both petrol and diesel trims. The petrol variants of Tata Manza will be powered by the 1.4L, 1396cc, MPFI petrol engine which is currently powering the petrol variants od Tata Indigo and Fiat Linea. This petrol engine delivers good performance and mileage. On the other hand, diesel variants of Tata Manza will be powered by the Fiat's most popular 1.3L multijet diesel engine which is well known for delivering high engine performance which excellent fuel efficiency.

The company official said that Tata Manza price will be set lower than Fiat Linea as both passenger car manufacturers, Indian auto major Tata Motors and Italian passenger car manufacturer Fiat marketing in India as a joint venture of 50:50 and they do not intend to capture each others space in Indian auto market.

Other than the Tata Manza some other auto manufacturers also plans to launch there vehicles during this festive seasons these vehicles are Chevrolet Cruze, BMW Z4 and newer version of Maruti SX4.
