New Fiat Linea ready to launch with more powerful engine

After the huge success of Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto in both sedan and hatchback segment now major Italian auto manufacturer Fiat ready launch the newer version of Fiat Linea with more powerful engine in Indian market. According to the company official Fiat ready to launch the face-lifted model of Fiat Linea which will be powered by the more powerful 1.9L engine. The company plans to unveil the newer version of Fiat Linea at Auto Show at New Delhi 2010. Currently, Fiat Linea is available with both petrol and diesel engine option - its petrol variants are powered by the 1.4L petrol engine while its diesel variants are powered by the 1.3L Quadrajet diesel engine. Fiat already the stormed the Indian auto market with the launch of Fiat Linea and company has sold more than 10,000 units of Fiat Linea since itrs first launch in January. Now Fiat shows its interest to make its position more strong in premium C segment with by adding the punch to the car with more powerful engine.

The company senior official, Rajeev Kapoor said that they are working forward to showcase the more powerful version of Fiat Linea at Delhi Auto Expo. Fiat has an array of powerful diesel engines to choose from 1.3 litre, 1.6 litre and 1.9 litre. The company also plans to export Fiat Linea and its premium hatchback model Fiat Punto to overseas market from 2010.

The company's senior official Rajeev Kapoor said, "We will in the first phase cater to the neighbouring markets of Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan and then look at markets such as New Zealand and Australia." He added that company plans to export target stands at 3200 units and 10000 engines for next 12 months.
