Tata Manza: festival bonanza

This is festival time for all of us and for auto companies too.....! We have seen four car launches in the current month- Chevrolet Cruze, BMW Z4 and Tata Manza. Tata cars are awaited with much excitement and curiosity as it known for its innovative technology and experiment with machines. So keeping the same spirit, we started to cover the Tata Manza. We were all amazed to see the new Tata Manza as it is having altogether new avatar.
Let me tell you that Tata Manza is launched in four variants both in petrol (quaorjet) and diesel (safire) engine- Tata Manza Aqua, Tata Manza Aura, Tata Manza Aqua (ABS) and Tata Manza Aura Plus. The price tags of all these variants starts from Rs 4.8 lakh to 6.75 lakh. The models are available in different hues like breeze blue, dew white, grey noir, gold satin, infinity black, minimal grey and monarch red.
The quaorjet diesel engine with a displacement of 1248cc churns a maximum power of 90 Ps at 4,000 rpm and develops a maximum torqe of 200 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm. On the other hand, 1368cc petrol Safire engine generartes same 90 Ps at 6,000 rpm while it develops 116 Nm at 4750 rpm. Overall length, width and height is 4413 mm, 1703 mm and 1550 mm respectively. The fuel tank of the car is 44 litres. It sports ventilated disc brakes at front and drum type at rear.
In the showroom, Roshan Motors, Jaipur, the sales officer was more excited than us when describing the features of the sedan. He used his all energy and knowledge to make sure we were convinced.
As far as comfort and convenience is concerned, the higher end variant has one shot power window down movement at driver side, rear power windows, tilt adjustable power steering, height adjustable driver's seat, lumber support for front seat with two way adjustable, rearseat center armrest, cup holder on rear seat center armrest, boot lamp and ample legroom at front seat. The dashboard of the car is equipped with 2 din music system, audio controls on steering wheel, bluetooth connectivity, USB playback and infrared remote for audio. Driver information system sports digial clock and fuel consumption, distance to empty and ambient temperature indicator.
The sexy sedan comes in attractive two-tone beige interior colour scheme, vanity mirror and light on co-driver's sunvisor, illuminating ring around keyhole, storage tray and pockets and bottle holder on floor console.
Chrome plated grilles are there in higher end variant of Tata Manza. A beep sound would be turn on if the seat belts are not used when driving. Let's see the exterior of the car. Rear lamps are in new shape and the complete rear side look seems to be borrowed from Logan. In addition to this, height of the back is reduced as against Tata Indica Vista.
Outer door handles, front and side rub rails are painted in body colour. Only the higher end variant is having electrically controlled outer rear view mirror. Same is the case of chrome inserts on rub rails and door handles.
No variant is equipped with alloy wheels.
Tata has equipped Tata Indigo Manza with most of the latest safety features. These include collapsible steering, high mount LED stop lamp, child lock on rear doors, immobiliser, central locking, remote controlled keyless entry, ABS, dual front SRS airbags and retractor, pretensioners and load limiters on front seat belts. Dual airbags and retractor, pretensioners and load limiters on front seat belts come in Tata Manza Aura Plus.
