Chevrolet Beat

General Motors, one of the largest automobile manufacturer in the world is now coming with a new small car model, Chevrolet Beat. The Chevrolet Beat model has been specially manufactured for emerging Asian markets like India and China. The Segment in which the Chevrolet Beat model will be launched is already very competitive as some of the most popular car models like Maruti Wagon R and Hyundai Santro Xing are registering good sales in this segment. So the company will possibly launch this car model with a competitive price tag of Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh.

Same as all other models under the Chevrolet portfolio, the Chevrolet Beat model will also be launched in both diesel and petrol versions. The petrol variants of Chevrolet Beat will possibly be powered with the 1.2L, 1199cc MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine which produces maximum power of 82bhp. The engine has been designed at a global GM platform and a special consideration has been given to make this engine fuel efficient. While on the other hand diesel version of Chevrolet Beat is expected be powered with a 1.0L, 936cc three cylinder desiel engine which generates 57bhp of maximum power with a good amount of fuel Economy.

General Motors has given a perfect look to the Chevrolet Beat model. As to survive in this segment the model has to be attractive as well as comfortable. The interior of the Chevrolet Beat has all new generation features like a dual tone dashboard joined with highly advanced instrument cluster, fabric upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and leather wrapped gear knob. Besides these new interior features there is comfortable as well as adjustable seating arrangement which makes journey hassle free. At the same time the exterior of the model is equipped with large raked headlamps, body colored bumpers, body colored door handles and ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) while from the rear side model has been furnished with features like high mounted tail lamps with chrome surroundings, chrome finished tail gate handles and rear spoilers.

In this segment the model will be competing with some existing popular hatchback models like Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i10, Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Swift while upcoming models like Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo and a new small car from Honda India will also be competing with Chevrolet Beat model.
