Tata Motors the manufacturers of the world’s cheapest car are coming with a new crossover Tata Aria for Indian markets. Tata Aria, which is a crossover between a Sports Utility Vechicle(SUV) and a Multi Utility Vehicle(MUV), made a lot of heads turn in its direction at the Auto Expo. Tata Aria is a 7-seater and comes with a 2.2 lit Dicor engine that adds a maximum power of 140 PS and a maximum torque of 320nm. Tata Motors said that they are going to launch Tata Aria in the Indian auto market on 11th of this October and it will be priced in the range of Rs 10 to 12 lakhs.
Apart from an array of new features the Electronic Stability Programme (EPS) is the first for any Tata car. Tata Aria would also come loaded with air conditioning vents for all the three rows, foldable food trays, roof mounted glove boxes and beige interiors, dimming roof lamps, in-dash built in GPS, a state-of-the-art infotainment system, multifunctional steering wheel, dual air conditioning with automatic climate control and cruise control, 6 airbags, ABS and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP). The closest competitors of Tata Aria include Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo.
