Mahindra Renault Sandero-a new hatchback

The hatchback segment might soon get another car from Renault's stable, sometime in 2010, as a joint venture with Mahindra. The car has been named Mahindra Renault Sandero and is expected to be available in both petrol as well as diesel engine options. While the petrol engine might be a 1200cc capacity engine the diesel engine is expected to be around 1500cc. The car's base variant would be somewhere around Rs 4 lakh, which is a very competitive price tag for the consumers who would get another option to choose from.

This five-door premium hatchback model is spacious and its rear doors open at an angle of 67 degree. The Mahindra Renault Sandero comes loaded with safety features like ABS with EBD, front airbags, side and curtain airbags and seat belt alarm. The car is expected to be manufactured at Mahindra's Nasik plant.
