General Motors launched the CNG Version of their popular mid-sized sedan Chevrolet Aveo at a ceremony in Ahmadabad on 13th May, Thursday. The ceremony was presided over by the company's President and Managing director Mr. Karl Slym.
The new Aveo would be a bi-fuel vehicle with a full sized petrol tank and would boast to be the most enviornment friendly car on road. Mr. Slym said that the launch of new Aveo is a testimony of the fact that General Motors is concerned for the enviornment and want to invest in greener, cleaner fuels.
Chevrolet Aveo would be BS IV complaint and would offer a fuel economy of about 54% as compared to the Petrol variants in the same range. Also, the economy the car offers would attract both individual and fleet customers.
The all new Chevrolet Aveo would sport a next generation computer controlled CNG technology. The main advantages the new version would offer include sequential fuel injectors that would offer proper fuel delivery, ensuring efficient combustion. Additionally, CNG offers better engine performance.
It is quoted by the company officials that the new Chevrolet Aveo would require minimum service. The highlight is that the car would offer three-year/100,000-km standard warranty, which is an industry first in the mid-size sedan segment.
