New Cars expected around Diwali

Shopping in India is not a mere trading experience, but expands to deal with the sentiments Indians attach to their shopping behaviour and preferences. It is a common observation in India that the shopping spree across all segments of consumables is at its zenith during the festive time and the most important of them being Diwali. Whether it is gold, utensils, clothing, housewares, property or automobiles the excitement to purchase new goods is noticeably great in India. The Indian automobile industry has witnessed some of its best sales figures across various car segments over the years during the festival time of Diwali. New Cars expected to launch around Diwali
Maruti Kizashi, one of the most hyped and expected launches from the country's largest car manufacturer is speculated to be launched this October'2010. This sports sedan would be shelved in the price range of 10 to 12 lakhs. Kizashi is already catching everyone's fantasy in the American and Japanese markets and the same response is expected to be derived from India. Kizashi would be powered by a J24B 2.4 litre petrol Pictureengine, 4 cylinder, DOHC. This D-segment car's powertrain would be capable of producing a peak power of 185 hp at 6,500 rpm (Manual Transmission) and 180 hp at 6,000 rpm (continuously Variable Transmission). The maximum torque from the engine is 170 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The speculations are going strong over the fact that the sedan will come equipped with either 17 inch alloy wheel or 18 inch alloy wheels. Maruti seems to be focusing strongly on providing a good braking system accompanied with Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), Electric Stability Program (ESP) along with the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). Apart from this, the car is expected to sport 8 airbags (front, rear and curtain), pushbutton keyless start, power steering, windows and mirrors, Dual-zone climate control, EPS Stability control and ABS, projector beam headlamps etc.
Maruti Suzuki India certainly wants to keep its position as the largest selling car manufacturer intact as the company shared its plans to launch a new entry level car Maruti Cervo this festive season. Expected to be launched in the month of November'2010, the car most likely would be shelved in the price range of 1.5 to 2 Lakhs. In order to introduce the car at a competitive price tag, the company might cut on some of its features that are available in the Japanese version. Maruti Cervo will be equipped with the 0.7L, 660cc petrol engine which is able to produce maximum power of 60bhp. With enough of space inside and extremely sporty looks on the outside, the car would surely attract the younger generation of India.
The leading manufacturer of Czech Republican, Skoda motors is planning to launch Skoda Yeti in the Indian automobile market. Expected to be launched in the month of October'2010, the car most likely would be priced in the price range of 17 to 18 Lakhs. The car seems almost ready to give a staunch competition to Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari and Maruti Grand Vitara. Skoda Yeti would come in Diesel engine only sporting a 2.0L diesel engine endowed with 5 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox which will offer an amazingly high mileage both in cities and on highways. The diesel engine will be packed with turbochargers that will make the engine very efficient and can also cool the engine very quickly. It is also expected that Skoda Yeti will have TDI CR DPF diesel engine.
Hyundai, the Korean automaker has big plans this festive season as the company plans to launch its highly popular SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe in the Indian market. This globally popular SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) model, Hyundai Santa Fe will be launched in SUV segment between the price band of Rs 23 to 25 lacs. The major competitors for this new car in Indian markets will be Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari, Maruti Grand Vitara and Mahindra Bolero. It is expected that this head turner would drive huge volumes of sales for the company. Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to come with a 2.2 L, 2199 cc Diesel engine. The CRDI (Common Rail Direct Injection) fuel supply system will offer amazingly good engine performance and better fuel efficiency.
One of India's leading auto brand Tata Motors looks absolutely ready to project an all new versatile utlity car named Tata Aria in Indian auto market under the MUV segment by this coming festuve season. The new Tata Aria would be an eight seater premium MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) build on roadster concept that Tata Motors exhibited at Geneva Motor Show in the year 2000. Ford Endeavour, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Innova, Honda CRV, Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner and upcoming Skota Yeti would have a tough time competing against this SUV. According to the speculations in the Indian automobile industry the car would be shelved in the price range of Rs. 12 lac to 15 lacs.
With such flurry of vehicles all ready to take the breaths of car enthusiasts in a glimpse, this Festive season would certainly offer numerous reasons for Indian buyers to cherish and celebrate.
