Festive Season comes with new cars on the Indian turf

The Indian auto market was gleaming this year on Diwali, it was not only Diwali lights which were glowing in market, but the pumped up sales figures which lightened up the atmosphere. This Festive season saw the launch of cars in various segments. Lets have a sneak look at the cars launched this October:

Tata Aria

Tata Motors launched Tata Aria, India's first crossover is the most expensive and state of the art technology car. Tata Aria is a eight seater car which is developed on roadster concept. The car is priced between Rs 12 lacs to 14 lacs. The crossover is powered with 2.2 litre, DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) engine which is the same in Tata Safari.

The engine generates a power of 140bhp at 4000 rpm and 320 Nm torque between 1700-2700 rpm. The features Tata Aria comes with are ABS with disc brakes and ESP in built. The car is sure to give the driver a pleasurable experience with standard ground clearance and great off road drive.

The rivals of Tata Aria are Ford Endeavour, Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner, Honda CR-V and Skoda Yeti yet to be launched.

Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai Motors launched its SUV Hyundai Santa Fe in India recently. The new SUV is available in two models- the 4x2 which is a two wheel drive model comes with a price tag of Rs 20.95 lacs. The second version 4x4 which is a four wheel drive comes with the price Rs 22.95 lacs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Hyundai Santa Fe is fully loaded with 2.2 litre engine, six speed manual transmission gearbox, four cylinders with 16 valves and DOHC (Double Over Head Camshafts).

The new SUV is powered with 197 Ps powered at 3800 rpm and 420 Nm of torque from 1800 to 2500 rpm. The car comes with CRDI (Common /Rail Direct Injection) fuel system a\nd Euto V engine. The car has advanced features includes power windows, alloy wheels, ABS (Anti lock Braking System), side air bags, leather seats, Bluetooth connectivity, XM Nav traffic, audio controls on the steering and much more. Hyundai Santa Fe competitors are the Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva, Nissan X Trail and more.

Skoda Fabia

Skoda Fabia, an engineers marvel, comes in three engines which includes three variants in each engine. Skoda Fabai is affixed with 1.2 litre, 75bhp, three cylinder, MPI petrol engine (Volkswagen Polo also has the same engine), 1.6 MPI, 105 bhp petrol engine (Volkswagen Polo also come in the same engine variant) and 1.2 litre, 75 bhp, three cylinder, TDI diesel engine (also suffixed in Volkswagen Polo diesel engine).

Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, the world fastest car was launched in India. The car accelerates to a speed of 430 km/hr, with a price tag of Rs 12 crore.

The premium luxury car has an eight litre engine with seven gear clutch transmission which pumps up the power of 1,001 bhp and 1200 Nm of torque. The car is a four wheel drive, with 64 valves and four turbochargers that speeds it upto in seconds.
