General Motors has planned to come up with a wide range of new models and variants in the next 18-24 months. They are planning to bring these wide range of vehicles in different shapes, sizes and models with LPG, CNG, Petrol, Diesel and Electric vehicles to attract the customer attention . GM has been consistently introducing attractive schemes and variants to gear up its market share , but they only set back with General Motors was the absence of diesel engines for the hatchback segments.

General Motors has now planned to showcase its electric vehicle by April ,2011. Still the exact details are kept under wraps that whether it will be Beat electric vehicle or it will be Chevrolet Sail EV. As and when the electric car will be introduced General Motors will start with EV production. After the Bangalore based REVA, General Motors is going to be the second auto maker in the domestic market to come with an electric vehicle concept. GM will come with the LPG version of Chevrolet Beat by January 2011 and will also bring in the Diesel model of 3 cylinder Beat by 2011.
