For cars like Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Chevrolet Beat etc the first time car buyers drove the growth figures north. But for the country’s biggest carmaker it is the repeat customers who have added massively to the sales figures.
The carmaker makes every second car sold in India and according to a statement made by a senior official of the company in the media Maruti has seen the percentage of first time buyers come down marginally. It is the buyers of an additional car in the family and the repeat buyers who have taken more percentage this time.
