Toyota Kirloskar Motors India has increased the prices for its cars by Rs 20,000, however, has left Toyota Etios the most desirable car. Probably the effect is due to high fluctuation felt in yen which has affected the prices.
Toyota Motors has not reasoned the hike however it is being highly speculated to be the increase in the yen. The Japanese auto company did not raise the price of Toyota Etios because the car's transmission and engine is produced in Bidadi plant. It is the reason given why the Island nation's car firm has not raised the car prices.
The another reason of not increasing the price of Toyota Etios is also that the strong customer base has been able to achieve due to pricing. Already the delay in delivering the sedan is too long and later if the prices will be increased they will lose on there customer base.
