GM India unveiled Chevrolet Beat Electric in New Delhi today

Today General Motors India revealed its brand new electric car, known as Chevrolet Beat Electric in New Delhi. Now, General Motors in India is aiming on developing green and clean cars. This new electric car by Chevrolet will take forward the new born legacy of electric cars but with a perfect twist, which is that the electric power is actually produced to provide power the wheels of the car. On one hand, Chevrolet Spark electric has lithium ion batteries that would actually dragged the cost of manufacturing of the car more close to around 7 Lakh or so, which didn’t sounded a lucrative option. So now, the new Chevrolet Beat electric steered in the charging the battery procedure, similar to the commercial electric prototype, Chevrolet Volt Hybrid.

The Chevrolet Hybrid works via a series, say for example 50 km, the Chevrolet Hybrid will totally go on electric power. After the battery power hits the final consumption level, the inner combustion engine will then perform as power generator and will knock down to take all the rest of the power from the battery heap, which will finally provide power to the electric motor of Chevrolet Volt. With this kind of battery system, the fuel utilized by the generator will be minimized. And it is expected that the new Chevrolet Beat Electric could be launched with such type of battery system.

However, the new Chevrolet Beat Electric is till now at the conceptual phase and the current update on the manufacturing plans of the car is not been discussed publically by General Motors India so far. The main aim of unveiling the Chevrolet Beat electric in India today is to see how the market responses towards it. And if everything goes well, it might soon be seen on the Indian roads. Also there is no official word about the Chevrolet Beat Electric price. However, once Chevrolet beat Electric is launched in India, it will have to face a tough fight from Mahindra Reva I Electric, which was released few years back.
