Volkswagen Up to be showcased this August

German auto giant Volkswagen has announced to showcase its brand new Volkswagen Up, this August at Paris Grand Palais on the Champs-Elysees in France. Relevant sources have reported that the new car, Volkswagen Up, is a surrogate for the Volkswagen Lupo which was a renowned small car that roared in South America. There is a buzz in the Indian auto market that debut of new Volkswagen Up will pose tough competition to Hyundai i10 and the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. Volkswagen Up price is expected to fall in the range of Rs. 3-5 Lakh bracket, however Volkswagen India has not yet unveiled the actual price of their Volkswagen Up and Volkswagen India may use price of this new car as a key to compete in Indian auto market. Sources have also revealed that the new car will resonance the engines from Volkswagen Polo.

As per the latest updates, It is expected that Volkswagen Up will share its platforms with its cousins from Skoda and Seat. It is also reported that the Volkswagen Up platform will spawn the Skoda Youngster and the Seat Arosa and Volkswagen India is also mulling to use the platform of Volkswagen Up for developing a sedan car and MPV which are expected to pose threat to the Toyota Etios and the Mahindra Xylo respectively.

Volkswagen India has also revamped its Volkswagen Polo by adding electrically adjustable mirrors to the top line of its renowned hatchback car. Volkswagen India has also facelifted its sedan car Volkswagen Jetta and sources have revealed that this New Volkswagen Jetta will be unveiled on the 17th of August, this sedan car is expected to give a stiff competition to its competitors like Toyota Corolla Altis, Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Civic, Renault Fluence and the likes.Currently available popular Volkswagen cars in India encompass Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Phaeton, Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen Touareg and Volkswagen Vento.
