The luxury car brand BMW’s all-new BMW X3 launch is now officially announced to take place on August 25th, this year. This is to put to an end to many speculations and long-standing wait of the highly anticipated SUV new BMW X3. It is believed that 2011 version of the BMW X3 is a major deviation from its current model, which now more looks like it’s bigger sibling BMW X5. Apparently, the new BMW X3 will be assembled in BMW India’s own assembly unit at Chennai, from its imported Completely Knocked down (CKD) units. The new BMW X3 is hoped to give a neck to neck competition to Audi Q5 and upcoming Mercedes Benz GLK. The BMW India is likely to place the new BMW X3 price around Rs 41.2 lakhs for its petrol variant and Rs 42.2 lakhs for its diesel variant.
As for the new BMW X3 review, the SUV will be available in the Indian auto market in both the petrol and the diesel variants that hoods the 2.5 litre, six pot petrol engine and 2 litre, four pot turbo diesel engine respectively. The petrol variant named to be xDrive25i that has the maximum power output of 210 Bhp and maximum torque of 246 Nm, while the diesel variant called the xDrive20d has 180 Bhp maximum power output and 350 Nm maximum torque. The maximum speed of the new BMW X3 is expected to be 200 kmph with less than 10 seconds, zero to hundred sprint time. The diesel variant of the new BMW X3 is considered to be a economical, delivering high performance.
The new BMX3 is apparently manufactured with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox replacing the current model’s 6 speed gearbox. The interiors are reported to have been undergone changes giving a fresher look at the same time maintaining the BMW standards and quality. The new BMW X3 is thought to have an all-wheel Drive mechanism and to provide excellent handling and power. Competitors Beware! The new BMW X3 is making its way in to the India market to take its rivals in a stride.
