Nissan India is planing to unveil the first look of its sedan on 3rd August this year. Nissan, the Japanese automobile firm, was expected to launch this new sedan christened as Nissan Sunny in India by September 2011. Earlier it was expected that Nissan India will launch this new advance featured sedan in December 2011, but now the company has decided to deliver this car in the month of September. The event of August 3rd may increase the excitements between the Indians who are planning to buy a Sedan this year. Once on Indian roads, Nissan Sunny will give a tough time to popular sedan in India such as Honda City, Hyundai Verna Fluidic and the recently launched New Ford Fiesta. Till now the company has not revealed any information about Nissan Sunny price but it is expected that keeping in view the step taken by Honda India wherein it has recently reduced the price of its popular sedan Honda City, Nissan Sunny price is expected to be less.

It is speculated that Nissan India will launch Nissan Sunny in both petrol and diesel variants. To survive the sky rocketing increase in price of the petrol, the diesel cars are in great demand in India which indicates that Nissan India would emphasize on its Nissan Sunny's diesel variant. The Nissan Sunny's petrol variant is expected to be powered by a 1.5 liter HR15DE engine which is capable of producing 108 bhp and a peak torque of 148 Nm. Whereas, the diesel variant is supposed to be infixed with a 1.5 litre Dci common rail turbo engine which will generate a maximum power of 105 bhp. It expected that these engines will provide the best fuel efficiency in its segment. Nissan India is expecting to gain the advantage on this factor which influence the Indian car market.
