Talking about technicalities details Tata Nano is equipped with 0.6L, 624cc petrol engine that produces 35PS power and 48Nm torque. With the use of this engine Tata Nano is delivering very high fuel efficiency which is the best in hatchback segment. The fuel efficiency of Tata Nano is around 19 kmpl at urban roads while on highway it gives 26 kmpl mileage. The pick up of Tata Nano is not so bad Tata Nano is able to cross 100 kmph mark in 29.7 seconds and can touch the top speed mark of 106 kmph.

Apart from this Tata Nano also includes some safety features like Central locking, Booster assisted brakes, Front and Rear Seat Belts. With these features Tata Nano price starts from Rs 1.19 to 1.26 lakh for its base model. Tata Nano is available in four variants with petrol engine. with its petrol variant Tata Nano has ruled the hatchback car segment for almost three years. Since there is regular hike in petrol price most of auto majors are lining their models to petrol variants. Keeping this in mind Tata Motors is also planning to launch Tata Nano Diesel in India soon.

Yet Tata Motors has not unveiled the price of Tata Nano Diesel, but it is expected that Tata Nano Diesel price will be a little more than its petrol variant. However as per the, Tata Nano review, the sales of this cheapest car has dropped down. The reason behind this fall in sales is the lack of high standard safety features. So in order to boost the sales Tata Motors also planning to upgrade the existing model of Tata Nano.
