Eon launch expected on Oct 14, bookings commence from Oct 1

Hyundai Motors is gearing up to introduce its small car Hyundai Eon in India next month. The Hyundai Eon is expected to challenge the unbeatab Maruti Alto in the segment. The localized production of Hyundai Eon at the Chennai plant has begun. The Hyundai Eon price in India is expected to be around the range Rs 2.5 lakhs for the base variant. Hyundai Eon is expected to be launched in India by October 14th, however, the bookings for the small car are likely to begin from 1st October itself. None other than Hyundai Motors global chairman, Mr. Mong-Koo Chung is expected to come down to India for attending the launch event of Hyundai Eon. The Hyundai Eon is the much acclaimed project of Hyundai Motors and has been envisaging to introduce a potential challenger of Maruti Alto in India for a long time.

Hyundai Eon, with its 800 cc petrol engine with manual as well as automatic gearbox option has a great potential in the Indian market. The Hyundai Eon, in other words will be replacing the slot vacated by the phased out model Maruti 800. Hyundai Motors is well-known for its low-cost model cars in India and is the second largest hatchback manufacturer after Maruti India. Hyundai India after sales services are affected as its best-selling models, Hyundai Santro and Hyundai i10 are not getting any younger by each passing day. Arvind Saxena, director of Marketing and sales of Hyundai India had mentioned that, the South Korean auto major is studying the Indian market for the probable launches very closely. Based on the observations, Hyundai India will plan for its upcoming new car launches. Hyundai India also offers few other cars like, Hyundai i20, Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Verna and Hyunda Santa Fe.
