The definition of luxury is taken to a new horizon today at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai as the beauty of 2012 Mercedes Benz CLS is gradually unveiled. The star studded classy sedan is launched in India at a price of Rs 67.67 lakh (ex-showroom price in Delhi) with an alarum amid huge adornment. Only a single variant is launched – the CLS 350 BlueEfficiency Avantgarde model.

Mercedes Benz CLS class was the much awaited luxurious sedan among the top honchos and Indian biggies. The car is launched just ahead of the festive season in the country and is sure to have many takers in India where status symbol has no bars. Indian car market is recently reported to be the second largest growing automobile hub in the world and Mercedes Benz has proved this fact right by launching the CLS Class for Indian audience this afternoon. Mercedes Benz CLS Class specifications are not much altered as expected. The powerful sedan is fuel by a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine paired to a 7 speed AT. The maximum speed that can be attained by the 2012 CLS-Class sedan is 250 kmph. It produces 306hp at 6500 rpm and 370Nm at 3500 – 5250 rpm. Other specifications include 17 inch tires, 80 liter fuel tank, 520 liter boot capacity and 1,735kg kerb weight. The 2012 Mercedes CLS will be brought into the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBT). Mercedes Benz CLS Class price is kept competitive as the sedan is likely to challenge the rival Audi cLAA6 in the car market. Today Mercedes Benz announced that it will launch two vehicles in India in the next few months.
