The whole point of renovating and restyling the Chevrolet Cruze is to make it safer and more comfortable and General Motor Company has made up its mind to do that. The news is that the D segment popular sedan launched in India in 2009 by General Motors that carved a niche amongst our hearts, the Chevrolet Cruze, is all set to get a face-lift. This is quite a thrilling revelation for the patrons of Cruze. It is speculated that General Motors will launch the face-lifted model in India by 2012.
The Chevrolet Cruze launched prior in India is exactly the same model that is being shipped in United States. This model was launched as such without any changes in India with just one difference. The Indian version was housing a diesel engine while the American version had a petrol engine. Despite of this change, it became a rage and sold in huge numbers in India. It not only survived the competition with Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla and Volkswagen Jetta but outshone them. In fact, it would be appropriate to refer this car as one of the most successful sedans ever launched in India.
General Motors now plans to benefit from this huge popularity and has decided to face-lift Cruze for improving its sale further. The changes in New Chevrolet Cruze are expected to be minor but not so much that they remain unnoticeable. To make the Chevy badge more prominent, its fog lamps will be given a classier look. The owner of the car can now flaunt some more with this kind of a change. The car interiors will be made to look even more luxurious by giving them a two-tone color and more space in its cabin will ensure more comfort. Chevrolet Cruze Price (of the face-lifted model) will be on the higher side. However, it will continue with same diesel engine but of a new 2.0 L Z-series. Two other popular small cars of brand Chevrolet are also very good and these are Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Spark.
