Mercedes Benz E220 CDI coming in Dec, B-Class to debut during 2012 Auto Expo

Mercedes Benz India is apparently planning to launch its much awaited and anticipated entry level car, Mercedes Benz E Class diesel also known as Mercedes Benz E 220 Cdi. It is being said that Mercedes Benz E Class diesel version will hit the roads of India in December 2011. One thing has been pretty evident in the country, which is the rising demand for diesel cars. Therefore, Mercedes Benz India’s decision of introducing diesel version of this luxury car is practical. The diesel version of Mercedes Benz E Class price is expected to land around Rs. 38.26 lakh, which will help the firm to lure more consumers towards it.

The new Mercedes Benz E Class diesel will come powered with 2148 cc of 4 cylinder engine, which would be used with automatic gearbox. As the price of the Mercedes Benz E Class 220 CDI has been brought down, it could be expected that accessories and other equipments will be cut down from this car. The new Mercedes Benz E Class diesel version will become a tough competition to BMW 5 series 520 d and Audi A4 2.0 TDI multitronic. Both these cars could surely be a threat to Mercedes Benz E Class diesel version. Recently, Audi India has made an official announcement that Audi India will sell 7500 units in the year of 2012 and will clutch Mercedes Benz’s position that is 2nd currently in the luxury car section in India.

Besides the new Mercedes Benz E Class diesel version, Mercedes Benz’s new MPV, known as Mercedes Benz B Class, which is also expected to hit the Indian roads by the year of 2012. The new Mercedes Benz B Class is expected to debut at the Auto Expo, which would be held in the month of January 2012. This new car is said to be the cheapest car from Mercedes Benz village. Yet to be launched, Mercedes Benz B Class MPV is a family MPV, therefore it could be expected that no heavy weight engine will come under the hood. The Mercedes Benz B Class price is still a mystery.
