Rumors earlier suggested that the new Honda City will be launched in mid of November 2011, but on the contrary there is buzz in the market these days that the face lifted Honda City will be launched at the 2012 Auto Expo, which will be organized in January next year. The delay in the launch of the new Honda City is mainly due to the recent floods in Thailand, which is the home for Honda Motors.
Currently, the Honda manufacturing plants in Thailand are trying its level best to cope up with the demand for different components, but sadly it is struggling a bit. In spite of such struggle, Honda Motors will hopefully launch the face lift version in the auto expo to be held in New Delhi next year January. However, the new Honda City India will not come with some major change. The changes will include in a little cosmetic modifications that will make the sedan look more stylish and chic. The front lamps, tail lamps and grille have been redesigned. The new Honda City will also come with a new ECO indicator that will allow the user to keep a check on the fuel tank. the new Honda City price is still not disclosed, but hopefully the firm will not increase too much.

A couple of months ago, Honda India offered around Rs. 66000 discount on Honda City sedan and since them the sales of this car augmented to a great extent. The current Honda City India model comes with a 1.5 litre of i-VTEC petrol engine accompanied with 5 speed manual gearbox that produces maximum power of 118 PS. Present Honda City gives a decent mileage of 14 km per litre in the city and 17 km per litre on the highway. The outgoing Honda City review were not only raving but were also best among the lot and similar reviews are expected from the face lift model of Honda City India. The Thailand floods also reportedly caused delay in the launch of Honda CR-V SUV in United States of America. The India launch for Honda CR-V is scheduled in the 2nd half of 2012.
