Tata Nano to get a slight facelift

Owning a car was one of the life time achievements for many Indians. We are talking about the generation, where not as many cars were plying on the roads. The car prices being far out of reach, converting their dream into reality was slightly far-fetched. However, Tata Motors have taken the initiative to make their wishes come true. The year 2009 has brought a breakthrough in the car industry. Tata Motors esteemed engineering team has moulded the car pouring their souls in, to develop the car meeting the demands of an Indian commoner. Tata Nano is the very car, the consumers might have ever dreamt of. Tata Nano has proved to be a very successful small car and the overwhelming response is the live example of the very fact.  As the innovativeness began to set in, the practical deficits in the car began to emerge.

The valuable image of the car was tarnished to a certain extent by the fire accidents the small car was involved in. Then other drawbacks in the car started to show like the missing rear view mirrors on either side of the car. Taking all the consumer feedbacks into consideration, Tata Motors has decided to launch an upgraded version with the features overlooked by the auto major earlier.The new Tata Nano comes in exciting new colors, the pearl-while, orange and Green to give a peppy look to the car. The passenger side external rear view mirror is a consolation to some extent, though if the right hand side mirror requirement is met is yet to be seen.

The car interiors have been stripped off to endow a better look and feel. The floor mats are another touch of thoughtfulness and the new beige colored dashboard is just too right to woo the consumers. The cosmetic makeover looks too dull, if the engine is left untouched. The existing 624 cc engine is tweaked to produce 10% additional power output than before with 38 Bhp over 35 bhp.  Another 900 cc engine is also on the cards. With an out and out makeover, is small wonder Tata Nano just what the consumers want at this point in time? The engineers at Tata Nano better be on their toes to give the car a Midas touch to equal its worth to Gold. Too much good news is not right for heart, expect to see the Tata Nano price go a notch up.
