Tata Pixel Coming to Auto Expo, Nano diesel dropped!

The car manufacturers and consumers alike are eagerly awaiting the 2012 Auto Expo.  This is the platform where many auto giants showcase their new concepts with the hope to get a public appraisal before they send it for production sometime in future. The domestic car manufacturer Tata Motors is doing no different this time. But, what is going to be a surprise is the compact Tata Pixel concept with an extreme style coefficient we have never seen before that too from an Indian auto maker like Tata Motors. It is like a Tata Nano but generations ahead in time. The Tata Pixel concept is not something that can be dismissed so easily. The charming good looks matched with the fuel efficient 1.2 L diesel motor promising the fuel efficiency of 35 kmpl is just like the auto major is going to deliver a bombshell at the 2012 Auto Expo. This definitely is a concept one should look forward too.

Though it doesn’t look like one, but it claims to seat four passengers comfortably. The cute fashionable looks of the car makes one wonder if this is some imported car we are looking at. And maybe that is exactly what Tata Motors is looking at. Tata Motors has displayed the Pixel concept at the Geneva Motor show as well, this means the auto major has the international markets on mind. But, looks like it’s going to be a while before we see any such thing happening. With the low emissions of the car with 89 gm/km the car is downright perfect for the international markets. While we are going to see a cute compact form of Tata Pixel concept, we might miss out on what we have been anticipating for quite some time at the Auto Expo. We are talking about nothing but the Tata Nano diesel. The same car with the 32 kmpl mileage, which cannot make me refrain from saying that Tata Motors is bound to make a breakthrough one after the other.  Tata Motors might want to keep the Nano diesel until later part of the next year, so we probably might not even catch a glimpse of it at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012.
