Toyota Motors is all prepared and geared up to launch the face-lifted version of its most popular MPV, Toyota Innova, which has been dominating the Indian MPV segment for quite some time now. To add more enthusiasm and zeal to the Indian car market scene, the Japanese Auto major is also planning to launch the face-lifted model of Toyota Fortuner, which is the most sought after SUV in the country. Both these new cars will feature only cosmetic changes, under the hood specifications will be kept same as before. The face-lifted Toyota Fortuner and Innova will hit the Indian roads on January 5th 2012.
When looking at the exterior of the new Toyota Innova, the MPV will sport absolutely stunning headlamps at the front accompanied with refresh front grille that has been finished with chrome thereby giving a sportier appearance. However, the complete look of the MPV speaks ample of practicality and logic. The brand new front bumper design together with the triangular shaped housing for the fog lamps adds more appeal to the new Toyota Innova. Moving towards the rear end of the redesigned MPV, there is not much of a change in design and appears to be same as before. However, the rear tail lamps have a got a little different design. The interiors are comfortable and stylish as before. What’s interesting here is that the power steering of new Toyota Innova gets audio controls mounted on the steering wheel that gives a very luxurious appeal to the entire front cabin. With such changes, the price tag of the all new Toyota Innova MPV might go a little higher.
On the other hand, new Toyota Fortuner will sport similar kind of cosmetic upgrades as Toyota Innova on the exteriors and interiors. As far as the engine specifications are concerned, the car will continue with the current 3 litre of D-4D engine, where as Toyota Innova will feature 2.5 litre of diesel and 2.0 litre of petrol engines.
