All new Fiat Punto hatchback and Fiat Linea sedan finally arrives in the country before the much awaited automobile event, Auto Expo 2012, which would be held in New Delhi from 7th to 11th January 2011. No extreme makeover has been given to these Fiat cars, but both the cars come with some notable changes. Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea come powered with the standard 1.3 litre of diesel engine, which churns out the perfect amount of power and torque that in turns increases the fuel efficiency of the cars.

The exteriors of these Fiat cars were given a little facelift that helped the cars look better and more stylish. The redesigned bumper along with fresh designs for the headlamps is the highlight. The interiors are elegantly done and offer more comfort to the passengers during the ride. However, it is pretty well-known in the Indian car market that both Fiat Punto hatchback and Fiat Linea achieved an average success in India, and this might be the major reason to give these Fiat cars a facelift. Fiat India and Tata Motors are in collaboration, which let them display both their cars at Tata Motors’ car showroom and its retail outlets. This is also one thing that Fiat India needs to change in the near future. A couple of months back, Fiat India mentioned that it will open up its individual retail outlet in India to display its own car models.

However, so far the new Fiat dealership has not happened, but speculations suggest that Fiat will come up its first ever dealership in the country in New Delhi in 2012, which would showcase its new Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea sedan. the major competition to Fiat Punto comprise of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20 and Ford Figo, whereas the new Fiat Linea will lock horns with Hyundai Verna Fluidic, Hyundai Sonata 2012, Skoda Rapid, Honda City and Ford Fiesta.
