Today the dazzling and the biggest auto event of the country, Auto Expo 2012 triggered off with generous amount of launches from varied car makers that included domestic and global car manufacturers. With so many car makers, it was a good for Toyota Motors too. The firm launches the latest models of Toyota Fortuner SUV and Toyota Innova MPV. Both these new cars have been launched with prominent cosmetic changes. Toyota India kept its word and introduced both cars with exterior facelifts, which are pretty eminent comprising of refresh headlamps, redesigned grille accompanied with a touched-up rear end.

The new Toyota Innova MPV has been launched with a reasonable price tag of Rs. 9.40 lakh for the base petrol version. However, one more good news given by Toyota India was that the company is planning to amplify the production of their bestseller in near future. Toyota Innova is being offered in both diesel as well as petrol. The petrol version comes with 2.0litre of four cylinder petrol unit that produces 132 PS of power along with 181 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel version comes with 2.5 litre of power train that produces 102 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque.

The other glittering star at Toyota Stall at the Auto Expo 2012 was Toyota Fortuner SUV. All new Toyota Fortuner have also gone under the knife and was launched with notable exterior and interior changes. This SUV was brought in 4x2 version, which was not present when it was launched initially. The 3.0 litre of D-4D diesel engine generates 168 BHP of power accompanied with 343 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled with the five speed manual transmission. In spite of of the lack of automatic gearbox, the SUV carries a hefty price tag of Rs. 19.9 lakh.
