Mahindra to raise XUV 500 capacity to 3,000 units soon

Everybody knows what Mahindra and Mahindra is about. It has been victorious in offering strong and masculine cars, such as Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio and the latest one Mahindra XUV 500, which received a runaway success as soon as it was launched. Now the firm is looking up to hike the production of Mahindra XUV 500 to around 3000 units every month in next two to three months. This step is being taken because of soaring high demand in the market.

M&M recently opened the booking of Mahindra XUV 500 SUV yet again and within 2 days, the car received a whopping 5900 booking orders. According to the Senior VP of Sales Customer care of Automotive Division of M&M, Mr. Arun Malhotra, the response of Mahindra XUV 500 have been awe-inspiring and demand is sky rocketing. The management will make every possible effort to amplify the production. Last month, the firm produced about 2500 units and in future this figure with go up to 3000 units. In the month of October 2011, the company literally suspended booking as the four months production of more than 8000 units was sold out in merely 10 days. Therefore, the increase in the manufacturing units of Mahindra XUV 500 is basically the necessity for Mahindra and Mahindra.

Mr. Malhotra also mentioned that the present booking touched the mark of 7200 units by February 2012 and firm will conduct a lucky draw and allot as many consumers the car within the time period of two and a half months. The bookings will certainly be refunded for the ones who are not victorious in the draw. The draw result will be officially announced on 15^th of February 2012. Moreover, Mahindra and Mahindra raised the prices of Mahindra XUV 500 in the starting of this month with its 3 variants become more expensive by Rs. 30000, Rs. 50000 and Rs. 55000 correspondingly. Initially this sports utility vehicle was launched with a price ranging from Rs. 10.8 to 11.95 lakh.
