Showcasing the 25 Greatest Cars of all Time by Playboy Magazine

One of the most popular men’s magazines in the world, Playboy which not only features gorgeous women but also beautiful rides, has come out with a their list of 25 greatest cars of all time. Some of the cars mentioned in this list are older than this American magazine itself, which was started in the year of 1953 in Chicago by Hugh Hefner. This magazine has a long standing tradition of gifting a car to the Playmate of the year, a practice which is going on since 1964. This list has all the world famous cars irrespective of their Price Range. This list has been compiled after an extensive and comprehensive research done by the editors of the magazine, which is published in the May issue. This compilation which has been put together by editors Ken Gross and A.J. Baime features cars of all category, segment and style. They have managed to feature the best cars of all the decades and have been pretty successful at it. This listing has classic cars like Shelby Cobra, Mercedes-Benz Gullwing, BMW 507, MG TC, Volkswagen Beetle and a few more.

The topper of the list is the Ferrari GTO and there are a couple of other Ferrari Cars as well in the list, the Ferrari 275 GTB/4 and Ferrari 458 Italia. This compilation also features a few Luxury Cars such as the immaculate Chrysler 300, Aston Martin DB5, Lamborghini Miura and the likes. But at the same time, famous cars like Alfa Romeo, Lotus Elan and Plymouth Barracuda were conspicuous by their absence. There are quite a few two-door sports cars like Porsche 911, Jaguar E-Type, BMW 507, Datsun/Nissan Z and some more of them. This list also has some amazingly designed cars, which are simply mind blowing. The immaculate and sleek McLaren F1, Lamborghini Miura and Lamborghini Countach, while, other muscle cars such as Ford Shelby Mustang, Pontiac GTO and Pontiac Firebird Trans Am also find their names in this coveted list.

Among the other companies, Chevrolet Cars are also more than a few, the ones which have made it to this list is the vintage Chevrolet Bel Air, Chevrolet Camaro and the Chevrolet Corvette. A couple of convertibles such as the Jaguar XK120 and Mazda Miata also made it to this grand list of cars. However, there is a difference of opinion among the viewers, bloggers, motoring experts and a few other sections. Some of them were unhappy as quite a few cars worth mentioning were not included and some were just neutral about the whole thing. In the Indian market, several SUVs and sedans are gearing up for their respective launches coming soon. The list includes Tata Safari Storme, Renault Duster, Audi Q3, Premier Rio Diesel, New Chevrolet Captiva, New Hyundai Elantra, BMW 3 Series and Volkswagen Jetta petrol.
