Toyota India Riding the High Wave With 49% Growth in April, 2012

Toyota India, which is also known as Toyota Kirloskar Motor have sold close to 14,378 vehicles last month. This has boosted their growth to 49% when compared to the last year sales of 9,681 vehicles in the same month. Their fleet of cars is reliable, steadfast and fuel efficient and have the likes of Toyota Innova, Toyota Etios sedan and Toyota Etios Liva hatchback car,  Toyota Corolla Altis, Toyota Prius, Toyota Fortuner and so on. Toyota India is a fully owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile giant Toyota Motor Corporation, which has its head office in Toyota, Aichi in Japan. This multinational company was established in year 1937 by Mr. Kiichiro Toyoda and since then it has come a long way till date. Toyota Cars are sold globally and are reckoned as one of the most stylish and trustworthy cars by millions of its customers.

This Japanese car manufacturer entered the Indian car market in year 1997 in a joint business enterprise with India’s renowned Kirloskar Group and is presently the fifth biggest automobile maker in the country. They have their manufacturing facilities in Southern India with a factory located closer to the town – Bidadi and another facility on the outskirts of the Garden City of Bengaluru, both of these are in the state of Karnataka. The massive Bidadi Unit is spread across a colossal 432 acres and can make around 90,000 units every year. Whereas, the other unit closer to Bengaluru has the ability to manufacture close to 1,20,000 vehicles in a year.  Their vehicles have marvelous designs and performance packed engines which are very apposite for the Indian conditions. Their MPV, Toyota Innova is said to be one of the leading vehicles in its segment and their other cars like Toyota Etios sedan car and the popular hatchback Toyota Etios Liva are generating tremendous sales for the company. 

The growth of 49% has been possible only with the contribution of their lovely fleet of cars. Toyota Innova has sold close to 6,582 vehicles in the last month of April when compared to the 3,464 vehicles sold in the same month last year, which is almost close to double. The other sedan and hatchback of the Etios series have also registered a strong growth of 21%. The company is elated with this overwhelming business and is putting in a lot of hard work and efforts to keep up the same momentum for this year as well. There was a launch of another hatchback called the Skoda Fabia Scout in the market recently. While there is a long list of other vehicles such as – New Chevrolet Captiva, Renault Duster, Audi Q3, Premier Rio Diesel, Tata Safari Storme, New Hyundai Elantra, BMW 3 Series, Volkswagen Jetta petrol and Audi A4 awaiting for their individual launches in the coming future.
