In this tumultuous time when the petrol prices are sky rocketing and diesel engine cars are being sold off the counter, Volkswagen India, which is the Indian arm of the leading multinational car maker from Germany, launches the petrol Sedan creating a lot of speculations as to why did they make such a move. The Volkswegan cars are well known in the country’s car market for having sturdy body structures, which are combined with powerful fuel efficient engines and abundant comfort and safety features. The diesel variant of this VW Jetta is already prevalent in the Indian car bazaar since quite some time and is doing fairly well for VW India.
Now these petrol cars will be the entry level Sedans of the VW Jetta model line in the country. The destiny of this splendid looking VW Jetta petrol is uncertain with a lot of different strata of the automobile industry saying this sedan might not be able to generate as much business as the diesel version. VW India has launched two variants of this petrol Sedan namely, Trendline and Comfortline. The
Volkswagen Jetta petrol price for the base variant is Rs. 13.60 lakh, while the other loaded version is tagged at Rs. 15.07 lakh; both prices are ex-showroom New Delhi. The bookings for VW Jetta petrol has started and is being accepted across all the dealerships of the company. The deliveries of this petrol Sedan is anticipated to start from the first week of the coming month.

The exteriors are quite similar to the diesel version, apart from the changes to the badge and some other minor changes to the exteriors, this
petrol Sedan car is very much the same as its diesel sibling. The interiors though have been decked up to add spice to this VW Jetta petrol and the company has also equipped it with some top class safety features. This petrol version has comfortable seats that have been upholstered with premium leatherette covering. Apart from the seats, the power steering, hand brake as well as the gear shift knob has also been treated in leather. It also has arm rest storage for added convenience to store small utility stuff, while the main glove box is illuminated for added comfort. The classy 16 inch Navarra alloy wheels with tubeless tyres of size 205/55 R 16 and it also has the side turn indicator integrated in the wing mirrors, which add to the elegance of the side profile of this majestic sedan. The twin exhaust pipe at the back also enhances the rear end appeal of this car.
Volkswegan Jetta petrol is being offered in six appealing colors such as Candy White, Moon rock silver, Reflex silver, platinum grey, Toffee brown and also in a deep black pearl finish.

This
petrol Sedan also has been bestowed with remarkable safety features like a sturdy suspension for a better balance, an electronic stability program, six airbags for added protection of the occupants, remote central locking with two folding keys, an electronic engine immobilizer for added security of the sedan, transmission guard as well as hill hold control for better handling and a 3-point seat belt for the center seat as well. The 1.4 litre TSi power train has the capacity to churn out a peak power output of 120 Bhp at 5000 Rpm, which is combined with a maximum torque of 200 Nm. This performance packed engine is mated with a 6-Speed manual gear box transmission. VW India is claiming that this petrol Sedan can generate a healthy mileage between 11 to 15 kmpl. This VW Jetta petrol will be in competition with the likes of Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Skoda Laura, Renault Fluence and other such premium sedans in its segment. On the whole, this VW Jetta petrol Sedan seems to be a complete package of an influential engine combined with a muscular body structure and luxurious interiors. I shared that
