Audi India has created a chaos of sorts in the Indian car market by launching a sedan and an SUV within a span of two days. In total, Audi India has launched four vehicles in till date in this year, which has created quite a buzz in the automobile sector. Other car companies are running from pillar to post to bring in their latest models, which are anticipated to be launched soon. Audi India started the ball rolling with the launch of their pristine sports car, Audi TT earlier this year in March, which was followed with the launch of their refurbished sedan, the magnificent Audi A4 that was launched in May. Then, after a gap of a few weeks they launched another aristocratic premium sedan, Audi S4 which was added to their stable a few days back and then the last nail in the coffin was the launch of the most awaited Audi Q3 SUV, which happened yesterday without any media hype at all.
The last couple of launches by the company were done in a very quiet manner without any hue and cry, which might be taken as the company means business and wants to grab the top position eagerly and remain there for as much time as possible. The Audi Q3 price for the base variant is Rs. 26.71 lakh and the other high end variant is tagged at Rs. 32.10 lakh (both figures ex-showroom Maharashtra). The exteriors of this 5-seater SUV are brilliant with a broad front grille, which holds the emblem of the company. A big head light cluster powered with xenon plus lamps and classy new alloy wheels, which adorn the side profile as can be seen in the Audi Q3 pictures. This SUV has been equipped with a commanding 2.0 litre TDI power train that is coupled with a 7-Speed automatic gearbox transmission as stated in a few Audi Q3 reviews. On the other hand, the keenly awaited locally made SUV Tata Safari Storme from the esteemed stables of Tata India is expected anytime soon. This new SUV had garnered an overwhelming response at the automobile expo, where it was showcased earlier this year.
The Tata Safari Storme price is expected to be in the range of Rs. 10 lakh and according to a Tata Safari Storme review, this SUV is expected to have some remarkable and attractive features incorporated in it by the company. This SUV is fitted with a 2179cc diesel engine and will have some remarkable features like electric outside mirrors, AC with climate control and rear vents, a user friendly multi information display for the driver and other safety features such as ABS with EBD and ESC, remote central locking, satellite navigation system and many more such utility features. The question now is that Tata Motors and Tata Safari are big brand names in the Indian car market. With this impending launch expected to happen anytime, it is certainly going to cause a big dent to the aspirations of Audi Q3 and several other SUVs such as the New Chevrolet Captiva, Renault Duster, BMW X1 and Premier Rio Diesel, which are expected to be launched in the coming weeks. What is going to happen with so many launches scheduled in the upcoming future cannot be thought of at the moment. But, one thing is for sure that the buyers are going to be spoilt for choice with so many options for them to choose from. I shared that Audi Q3 drives in at Rs. 26.21 lakh.
