Renault India, the French giant subsidiary in India, is all set to roll out the much anticipated Renault Duster tomorrow in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Later they will launch it in other cities as well. As a market strategy to attract buyers or to create a sensation among Indian consumers, the auto giant has already taken a lot of time to launch Duster. The company unveiled Duster at the grand Indian Auto Expo 2012 and announced its launch in India. Here Duster bagged tremendous response from visitors and since then car buyers are waiting for its launch.

Finally the time has come when the Renault Duster is all set to sizzle Indian streets. The car manufacturer has already commenced Duster bookings across the nation at a booking amount of Rs. 50000. One can easily identify the craze for baby SUV among Indian buyers as the car has already registered 1000 bookings in just a matter of a week. It will be interesting to see, how it will perform in future after getting a good start. Renault cars are all about style, performance and trust and their latest, Renault Duster is said to have all the three qualities. Renault is comparatively new to the country and with the muscular built and well balanced, aggressive and sporty looking Duster, they are hoping to develop a stronger foothold in India. The SUV features qualities like bigger wheelbase, huge wheel clearance, roof rails and SUV scuff plates.
Renault Duster will be launched in three 2WD models, two of them are diesel and one is a petrol variant. The diesel version is powered by a 1.5L DCI K9K engine which is affixed with two different transmissions options. Renault Duster has two different variants in diesel, with different power outputs. The variant which comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission produces 85bhp and a top torque of 200Nm. The other variant is linked with a 6-speed manual transmission which churns out 110bhp with 250Nm torque. On the other hand, the petrol variant has a power-mill of 1.6L engine which is capable of producing maximum power of 102bhp with a 145Nm torque. ARAI claimed mileage for the Renault is approximately 20kmph.

The compact crossover SUV can accommodate five adults comfortably. This small size and five seating capacity makes it different from other SUVs which fall in same price range. Renault Duster will compete against the already established SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari etc. and upcoming SUVs such as Tata Safari Storme and Ford EcoSport. Renault Duster price is likely to be fall in the range of Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 11 lakh. The mileage and price of Duster makes it a perfect option for those who wanted a big car instead of a premium hatch or an entry level sedan.
