Maruti Suzuki Ritz is one of the most prominent hatchback cars in India. This premium hatch has reckoned many hearts and has been successful over the past few years. However, there are rumors floating everywhere about the facelift version of Maruti Ritz. The source of these speculations is none another than its European sibling, the Suzuki Splash’s facelift version, FYI the splash is known as the Ritz in India. The car is the second best-selling vehicle in its segment but as they say ‘the best also can be out-dated’. And who can deny Maruti Suzuki’s tendency of upgrading its cars constantly. However, no official statement has been received yet on the facelift of Ritz. Still, the possibilities are bright enough that the new Maruti Ritz might enter Indian shores this festive season.

The new Maruti Ritz has been spotted in Delhi recently; the spy-shots of the vehicle are available on a number of websites. Some strong speculations suggest that Maruti is all set to launch and preparing the TV shoot for new Maruti Ritz. Although the car is not going to be revamped completely but instead of this, it will be a mild-facelift. As is evident from the new Maruti Ritz pictures, the new Ritz hasn’t received so many changes at exteriors. The front fascia has been blessed with bigger and single piece grille; the bonnet has also received some tweaks. Whereas, the headlights are getting pointier and fenders now reaches the V-shaped bonnet. The rear has also received some changes as well; the bumper now comes with fake air vents. However, the unique boomerang shaped tail lights will still be there like before. The new spoke alloy wheels will grace the looks of new facelift version.
Maruti Ritz has housed Fiat 1.3L diesel engine and 1.2L K series petrol engine. The car is doing well with both the engines, which are capable enough of producing enough power with good fuel economy. So, Maruti will continue with the same engines in the new Ritz too. The uplifts speckled in the interior include just the silky black finish replacing the dull gray finish of the border trim around the centre console. The tachometer sported by the running model is a bit out-fashioned, has gone amiss from the face-lifted version. The facelift may cause a slight rise in new Maruti Ritz price and may cost Rs.10000 more than the current one. The facelift will be very important for Maruti because Ritz’s arch nemesis Ford Figo is also going to get a facelift. As the rumors suggest, Maruti will launch the car during the coming festive season - a festive bonanza from Maruti on this Diwali! I shared that Ford EcoSport to take on Renault Duster.
