After witnessing a huge success in the Indian automotive industry, the Japanese auto giant, Nissan India, is all set to sizzle car fanatics by launching yet another classic, Nissan Evalia MPV. The Evalia MPV is in its final rounds of preparations and the auto giant is busy in strategizing when and how to launch this utility vehicle in the highly competitive Indian utility vehicle segment. Recent trends and stats suggest that SUV segment is gaining huge popularity among Indian buyers, indicating rising competition among market leaders. Ever since Evalia's first introduction at 11th Indian Auto Expo 2012, the car has been creating sensation in the market and finally the wait is going to get over. If sources are to be believed, the Japanese auto giant is gearing up to launch Evalia MPV by the last week of September 2012.

At the grand Indian Expo, Nissan Evalia was recognized and appreciated by critics as well as visitors. The unique styling and sleek looks of the MPV were the point of conversation among fanatics. Codenamed NV 200, Nissan Evalia bagged huge respect and popularity across the globe and now all set to repeat its success story in Indian auto segment. Nissan India has huge expectations with this car and company is trying hard to make it big. Nissan Evalia will directly compete against the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo. The most important point is that the platform used by Nissan India to manufacture this internationally recognized MPV was provided by the Indian brand namely Ashok Leyland.
Expected, Nissan Evalia will be powered by 1.5 litre dCi engine that also powers successful Sunny sedan. The diesel power-train is likely to be linked with 5-speed manual transmissions churning out maximum of 85bhp. With this power-train, the multi-purpose vehicle is likely to offer a good fuel efficiency which is currently the need of market. The petrol version of MPV is still a big question and it would be too early to guess. Besides, the MPV is expected to be the first ever utility vehicle in India which would have sliding doors. Nissan Evalia price in India is assumed to be in the range of Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh. Ertiga MPV, which was launched two months back has already set the Indian market on fire and is breaking almost all sales record. Clearly indicating the increasing craze for UV's among buyers. To cope up with the market conditions would be the biggest challenge for Japanese auto brand. Indian automotive Industry is one of the largest and fastest growing markets in the world and it will be quite interesting to see how Nissan India plans to sustain in the growing passenger vehicle segment. I recently shared that Chevrolet Sail Twins; Sail Hatchback and Sedan to Launch Soon.
