After having kept its countless fans across India waiting with bated breath, Ford EcoSport will now be launching first in the Chinese auto-market. As recently reported by CarNewsChina, the American auto-giant has scheduled the China launch for its charismatic compact SUV car to take place on the 19th of this very month. The Ford EcoSport launch date in India, in the meantime, has once again been delayed, this time expected to fall sometime around April end or early May. For the Chinese auto-bazaar, which has always shown better inclination for petrol motors in comparison to oil-burners, the American marque plans on introducing an all-petrol range of Ford EcoSport driven by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol mill along with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. To work in synchronization with these engines, a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox has been employed as standard by the company, while a 6-speed dual-clutch powershift autobox has also been chosen to serve as an additional option exclusively for the 1.5-litre petrol mill.

Ford EcoSport is soon going to hit the pan-India dealerships of Ford. The Indian Auto Expo 2012 witnessed two mini-SUV concepts - Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport. Out of which, Renault Duster has been launched this week and Indian car lovers are now waiting for the bigger treat - Ford EcoSport.  Ford EcoSport is one of the smallest SUVs in the world and Ford’s smallest SUV in its global portfolio for the first thing. First, Renault for the Duster and now Ford seems to be applying the same strategy for the EcoSport. As most of us are well aware, Ford recently showcased the highly anticipated production version at the Beijing motor show. Secondly, China is the biggest market for SUV cars and the market dynamics are not so different from India. Thus, the model which we saw at the Beijing motor show can also make its way to India. Ford India seems extremely busy these days. Reason? Well, the new Ford EcoSport Crossover is on display at the two prominent Mumbai malls from January 20^th 2012. Ford India chose the same kind of tactic with the new Ford Fiesta Sedan. The company then showcased the premium sedan at the Saket Citywalk Mall in New Delhi. From 20^th till January 27^th 2012, the new Ford EcoSport Crossover will be displayed with proud at the InOrbit Mall located at Vashi and at the Infinity Mall in Malad the car will be on display till 25^th of this month.
