Hyundai EON in India

Hyundai Motors is gearing up to introduce its small car Hyundai Eon in India next month. The Hyundai Eon is expected to challenge the unbeatab Maruti Alto in the segment. The localized production of Hyundai Eon at the Chennai plant has begun. The Hyundai Eon price in India is expected to be around the range Rs 2.5 lakhs for the base variant. Hyundai Eon is expected to be launched in India by October 14th, however, the bookings for the small car are likely to begin from 1st October itself. None other than Hyundai Motors global chairman, Mr. Mong-Koo Chung is expected to come down to India for attending the launch event of Hyundai Eon. The Hyundai Eon is the much acclaimed project of Hyundai Motors and has been envisaging to introduce a potential challenger of Maruti Alto in India for a long time.

About two dozen of new cars were launched at the beginning of the August and now the car makers are all set and ready to launch new cars into the Indian car market to cajole its consumers and take away the gloomy feel of the slow sales since past few months. The festive launches include Mahindra and Mahindra’s SUV, known as Mahindra XUV 500 and Hyundai Eon. The above mentioned car will be launched this festive season, which is triggering off from September end and is seen as the finest phase to record sky rocketing sales. As per Mr. Arvind Saxena, who is the director of marketing and sales of Hyundai Motors India, the Indian car market is still going through a rough phase reason being soaring fuel prices and increased interest rates.

South Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai is finally taking on the path that will make them the leaders in small car segment. To bestow tough competition to largest selling Maruti Alto, they are bringing in the market their own small car with 800cc engine into the market. The car named as Hyundai EON, codenamed as as Hyundai H800 and will most probably be unveiled in October of this year. This small car, EON, is expected to be selling at an extremely affordable price of below Rs. 3 lakhs. Due to Hyundai EON Price, it will also be a tough competitor to Chevrolet Spark, another car priced below Rs. 3 lakhs.
