This truly unique new car has been christened 'The Dark Knight RisesTM Juke Nismo' and features several details inspired by Gotham city's caped crusader that will certainly get its really lucky owner envious glances from every Batman enthusiast and car lover. Inspired by the new Juke Nismo, which is slated to go on sale in January 2013, The Dark Knight Rises™ Juke Nismo is powered by the the same 197bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, which drives the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. The powertrain gives the beautiful car a 0-62mph time of 7.8 seconds. Furthermore, the car receives a Nismo bodykit, upgraded suspension and enhanced interiors. Nissan has announced the resurrection of its low cost brand Datsun which it would bring to India by 2014. Nissan is bringing this brand to India for the purpose of building and selling inexpensive cars. The prices of these cars are expected to fall under Rs. 4 lakh. This Japanese automaker will now have Nissan, Infiniti and Datsun in its portfolio with Datsun serving as the entry-level car brand. Datsun brand will be making cars that would target the young, first time buyers.
Nissan-Renault are once again on their own to realise their dream to build a small car for the Indian car market. The least priced model from Nissan is Micra hatchback with a sticker price of Rs 4 lakh and up, more of a Maruti Swift, Renault Pulse rival. But what Nissan India is looking at, for the moment is more of a budget car to bridge the gap between the cheapest car Tata Nano and Maruti Swift. Under Rs 3 lakh car is what Nissan India had in its mind to tap the needs of the small low-cost hatchback in India.
