What is known as a common man's car is likely to undergo a major image makover. Tata Nano was introduced way back in 2009 to target the two-wheeler segment with its ultra low-budget Tata Nano price starting at Rs 1.40 lakh for the base standard variant. It slowly became synonymous as a one lakh car in the Indian car market. However, despite targeting the low income group as the customers, the journey for Tata Nano hasn't been very easy. After taking a good flight with sales soon after the launch, the fire catching accidents has put the Tata Motors in a spot. The auto major had to work hard to turn around the notoriety. The 2012 Tata Nano has done the job to certain extent, however, there is a breaking news once again on this front. Ratan Tata, the Group head has proudly announced that the electric and a diesel variant of the Tata Nano will be introduced very soon, though the time lines are not yet known.
